Anesthesia is a critical part of any surgical procedure. All of our anesthesiologists are board-certified physicians who have been thoroughly trained and experienced in the practice of anesthesiology. Your anesthetic type will be determined by the anesthesiologist in conjunction with you and your surgeon.
If you are receiving anesthesia, someone from the Anesthesia Department will call you prior to your surgery to discuss your anesthetic, your medical history and answer any questions you may have. They will instruct you about eating and drinking precautions and whether to take your routine medications.
